Hala’s father, driven by his new wife’s reluctance to raise a child from his previous marriage, leaves her behind in Pakistan. Abandoned and mistreated by her father’s brothers and their wives, Hala grows up as a subdued teenager, enduring constant harassment. Her uncle, fuelled by false stories about her, manipulates her father and prevents any communication between them. However, their marriage falls apart due to the actions of Hamza, Hala’s cousin. Consequently, Hala is expelled from the household by Shah Jahan, her aunt, for a mistake committed by Roomi. Eventually, Hamza locates Hala, but Raees, unwilling to let her stay in their home, sever ties with her. In a bid to provide Hala with a familial bond, Hamza ultimately marries her.
