In 2011, Khan was on the verge of heading to New York for the filming of the drama serial ‘Mata-e-Jaan Hai Tu.’ During this time, he joined forces with American singer Jennifer Jandris. Khan took charge of composing and producing the track, and together with Jandris, they shot the music video in Washington DC, around late 2011. The track was eventually released on Valentine’s Day in 2012.

Simultaneously, Khan embarked on his solo album project and unveiled his debut track, “So Close So Distant.” However, by the end of 2012, Khan made the pivotal decision to part ways with the band Call to pursue his solo music career.
